2005-04-25, Lollipop Theater Network - The renowned New York Film Festival visits area hospital through children`s charity with the Tribeca Family Festival on wheels.New York, NY (April 25, 2005) -- Lollipop Theater Network, the charity dedicated to bringing newly released movies to children confined to hospitals due to chronic or life-threatening illnesses, is proud to announce its inaugural partnership with the Tribeca Film Institute entitled, “The Tribeca Family Festival on Wheels.” This unique collaboration, sponsored by Morgan Creek Productions, will enable Lollipop Theater Network to bring a selection of child-specific films, debuting at this year’s festival, to pediatric patients at New York’s Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center. This poignant partnership is certain to attract notable attention to two like-minded organizations whose goal is to enrich the lives of others through the magic and spirit of the movies. The first of the two films specially-selected for the patients is Max Rules, an action-adventure about three junior high school friends from 19-year-old film prodigy, Robert Burke, in his feature debut. The second, Five Children & It, is a powerful and heartfelt story about a London family directed by John Stephenson. Following the screenings, various members from both films, including Max Rules director, Robert Burke, and star-actress, Jennifer Lancheros, as well as Five Children & It director, John Stephenson, and Producer, Nick Hirschkorn, will be present to answer questions from the young audience. Both screenings are scheduled to take place during the week of April 25th.
